High-Level Service
"The greatest source of wealth is not investment performance—it is the engineering of debt and capital" - Nelson Nash. At Orgon Capital, we believe wealth is created as much by the structure of capital as by the quality of the underlying asset. We believe the role of the asset manager is not simply to harness new trends, but to succeed in any market environment. We seek asymmetric opportunities characterized by high IRRs, low maximum drawdowns, low volatility, crisis alpha, and limited correlation to public markets.
Our Economic Thought
Converting Debt Into Equity
Net Interest Income
We focus on opportunities where asset yields sustainably exceed the cost of capital, allowing financing spreads to generate recurring income, improve capital efficiency, and compound returns over time.
Leverage
We seek fixed-rate, predictable financing that optimizes the weighted average cost of capital (WACC), preserves liquidity, and supports long-term ownership through economic cycles.
We believe financial engineering is a source of alpha. By optimizing the relationship between debt, equity, cash flows, and ownership structures, businesses can enhance returns while maintaining resilience, downside protection, and long-term flexibility.
Capital Structuring
Inspired by the merchant banking tradition and the financial philosophy of Nelson Nash, we believe that disciplined use of debt, rather than debt itself, is one of the most powerful tools for long-term wealth creation. This philosophy reflects the principles of old-money private equity: acquiring high-margin, high-EBITDA, cash-generative businesses with strong unlevered free cash flow, conservative underwriting, and a long-term investment horizon. At the same time, we combine these timeless merchant banking principles with exposure to disruptive industries and long-term global megatrends, including artificial intelligence, financial technology, blockchain, energy, and other sectors shaping the future economy.
Anatomy of an Asset
Positive Free Cash Flow
An asset should produce recurring income such as dividends, interest, rent, or operating cash flow. This cash flow is what enables compounding, reinvestment, and financial stability.
Capital Appreciation
An asset should increase in value over time, outperforming inflation and its cost of capital (risk-free rate, prime rate, or PME). This ensures it generates real economic return rather than just nominal gains.
An asset should be usable as collateral to access credit at a cost lower than its return. This allows leverage to amplify returns through net interest income when properly structured.
Collateral Value
